One of my regrets in the waning months of our lives on Maui was that I did not take more photographs of Maui, the island. I definitely was far more infatuated with underwater photography, which I found fascinating with the rich colors of both critters and coral. The other was that, after living there for four years before getting into digital photography, the appreciation of the above water portion of Maui had worn off. That is hard to understand unless you live there. There are, however, a few subjects I always was fascinated by, such as Haleakala, Maui's 10,000 foot dormant volcano, another is Keawakapu Beach, which stretches for about 2 miles along the South Maui Coastline, adjacent to the Wailea, just South of Kihei. I will be looking for more Maui photos to display as I dig deeper in the archives.
